How quickly can I get my websites deployed?
Once we have your skin design approved and you’ve secured your URL, we can turn on your site! You only need to add your content!
Can I start working on my site while my graphic people are working on the skin? I know they need a couple of weeks and I’d like to get ahead of the game if I could.
Sure! If you have your URL secured, we can deploy your site today or tomorrow using any of our provided templates. This will allow you to begin creating pages, child sites, add articles, upload and place images, etc. Then, when your skin is finished, we’ll just apply them to your pages and you’re ready to go!
Can I have content or pages that are only accessible to certain visitors?
Yes, using the visibility feature of pages (or even a single content element on a page) you can determine which logged-in users can see that page or article.
Can I create users that can only see hidden content, but can't do any editing or other administration on my sites?
Yes, you can create roles that have no administrative or content management rights. These users can log in and see content that is marked as visible only to them, but that is all they can do.
If I give a user the right to add other users and privileges, what prevents them from changing their own privileges, like content editing for example?
Each user can only assign privileges to others that they themselves have. So, if you have no ability to add pages for example, then you can't give that privilege to yourself or another user.
Once I have my parent site constructed, how quickly can I add a new child site?
If your child site will be using a subdomain, it takes no more than two minutes and is fully automated. If you are using individual URLs for your child sites (where they have their own "www") then it takes between 10 and 30 minutes after you notify us of the new child site to have it go live.
Can I link from webtreepro to a site where I have my own customized modules or interactivity?
Absolutely--you can create links that will open up in the same window or a different window. Links can be created from words, phrases, photos, illustrations or any other imagery.
Can I frame content that I want to feature from a third-party site?
You can, however, to get the display exactly right may require some one-time additional customization. We will review your needs and provide you with a firm, fixed price before any work begins, so you'll never be surprised.
Can I have customized interactive features right on my webtreepro sites?
We can create interactive modules which then become an asset that you can place on one, some, many or all pages on your sites. We will review your needs and provide you with a firm, fixed price before any work begins, so you'll never be surprised.
If I already have some interactivity built, can I incorporate them into my sites?
This will depend on the module itself, its code base and compatibility with webtreepro, but in most cases the answer is 'Yes.'
Can I upload documents such as PDFs or Excel Spreadsheets to make them available to my site visitors?
You can use the Upload Files feature of the Libary to get your Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Zip and WinRAR files into the Library. Then, you can create links to these documents which provide download capability when clicked.
If I let my child sites Edit a Parent-provided article, but then I change my original article, what happens to that article on the child site.
It remains just as it was when it was edited by the child site. If the child site user decides to delete their edited content, then the current version of the article from the parent site will now show on their site.
Can I set up a page or even just put an article on a page that will automatically appear at some time in the future?
You can. Everytime you add a page or an article, you can set both a Start and End date in the future and the new page or article will appear during those days. If you don't make any selection to the Start/Stop dates, then the element you are adding will appear as soon as it is saved and never expire. You can go back and change this any time.
Can I save a piece of content that I've created for re-use later--for example, a holiday message?
Yes. Every article you create can be saved to your Article Library. This let's you capture and re-cycle content. In fact, parent site users can even make their articles available to their child sites, adding more value for their clients.
